We understand the complexities faced by Local Authorities when commissioning the delivery of social care and support services to vulnerable adults. In particular, the importance of safeguarding individuals, ensuring excellent service delivery and delivering value for money.

We have experience advising on a wide range of social care procurements and contracts, including procurements for assisted living services; supported living services; outreach and emergency services; extra care services; and accommodation and day care services for individuals with learning disabilities.

We provide integral strategic support and advice to Local Authorities on the design and structure of social care procurements and contracts, often being engaged from the outset to ensure the procurement process is designed in a manner which is compliant; achieves maximum market engagement; and attracts high quality submissions within a tight budget.

We advise on the application of the procurement rules, draft procurement and contractual documentation  - taking account of the regulatory frameworks that Local Authorities must work within when delivering social care services. We also assist with the management of the procurement process.

Where required, we draft supplementary documentation such as Housing Management Agreements and Leases where a social housing element is involved.

We support Local Authorities in drafting, reviewing and negotiating social care contracts. We also advise on any disputes that arise with the service providers.
