Ashfords strengthens public sector offer with procurement partner

UK law firm Ashfords has appointed procurement expert James Falle as a procurement partner in its public sector team. James joins the firm in June.

James brings extensive experience advising local authorities on major procurement projects and helping clients manage the procurement process form start to finish. Formerly head of procurement at Addleshaw Goddard, a procurement partner at Temple Bright, and a partner at Foot Anstey, James also advises private sector clients on competition and procurement issues, including competition investigations and merger filings with the CMA and European Commission.

James Falle said:

"Whether private or public sector- the procurement and competition rules are an increasing challenge for organisations with many claims and challenges brought every year. I’m looking forward to working with Ashfords’ clients in both areas, helping them to navigate the rules and minimise the risks.”

Robin de Wreede, public sector co-lead and partner at Ashfords, said:

"We’re thrilled to welcome James to our team and he is ideally placed to support our clients as they navigate the new procurement rules. His broader experience across the public and private sector adds further strength to our public sector team and wider firm offer, ensuring we can support our clients on the often complex procurement and competition issues they face.”
