Our business support teams are an integral part of the firm and to the overall success of Ashfords. Together they work in partnership with our legal departments to drive forward our business strategy, enhance client service and ensure the efficient and effective functioning across the firm as a whole.

Our business support teams consist of:

Marketing and Client Development

The marketing and client development team design and deliver marketing and client development activities that will help the firm achieve its strategic growth objectives by building demand for Ashfords' services and helping to convert that demand into work won and clients retained. They are responsible for the following areas: brand, materials, reputation, digital, client intelligence, sales and targeting, bids and tenders and clients.

Risk and Compliance

The risk and compliance team are responsible for helping manage the firm’s risk, legal, reputational, and regulatory matters and protecting the interests of our clients at all times. As a key part of operations, they support all departments and collaborate with business support teams, offering practical advice while ensuring compliance.

Knowledge Management

The knowledge management team supports our legal teams in advancing, capturing and promoting knowledge and best practice, driving efficiency and consistency, and helping our lawyers to be the best they can.

HR

Our HR department consists of our talent attraction, learning and development and HR consultants/ specialists. The team work closely with heads of departments across the business to provide effective and expert employee relations advice, working with line managers to provide practical and proactive solutions across a full range of people related matters. They are responsible for attracting new talent to the business and supporting them through their learning and development journeys. 

Finance

The finance team are responsible for managing the firm finances including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

IT and Facilities

The IT and facilities team work together to support the firm through investing in technologies that help us deliver more to the business and our clients; while ensuring that our systems run securely and effectively. They also are responsible for taking care of our buildings, our health and safety and essential front-of-house operations.
