The Planning and Infrastructure Bill, introduced on 11 March 2025, marks a major reform aimed at tackling the UK's housing shortage whilst accelerating infrastructure delivery. The bill is wide-ranging and has been heralded by the government as providing ‘transformative reforms to get Britain building, tackle blockers and unleash billions in economic growth’.
The bill is still in draft form and is subject to change. In this spotlight area our planning and infrastructure consenting team shares a series of articles, which sets out the key changes proposed, how these will affect various operations across the planning sector and highlight important actions and requirements for authorities, developers and stakeholders.
