Planning & Infrastructure Consenting

Specialist planning lawyers advising on all aspects of the development process and relevant changes to planning law and policy.

Planning law is complex with legislation and guidance changing on a regular basis. Our specialist planning lawyers deal with all aspects of the development process, advising and supporting businesses, local authorities and individuals.

We have in- depth experience including negotiating section 106 and highways agreements on development sites, advising on the community infrastructure levy, stopping up and diversion of highways, and helping clients with issues such as planning enforcement, certificates of lawfulness, town and village greens and common land, assets of community value and listed buildings.

The team also regularly advises on contentious planning matters such as appeals, statutory challenges and judicial review and compulsory purchase and compensation.

We have specialist energy and renewables expertise, advising on the consenting of large scale projects including development consent orders (for nationally significant infrastructure projects) and developments of national significance, and advising on  the acquisition and disposal of renewable energy projects.
