It is important that, early on in the development process, developers and local authorities consider the implications of a scheme on existing highway and drainage networks, even where such networks are outside of the development boundary.

We have a team dedicated to working on statutory agreements for highways and drainage. We act for developers, landowners, statutory undertakers and highway authorities. Statutory Agreements we advise on include:

• Agreements under sections 104/116/185 of the Water Industry Act 1991
• Agreements under sections 38 and 278 of the Highways Act 1980
