UK law firm Ashfords has achieved a 100% trainee solicitor retention rate this year, demonstrating the firm's commitment to a 'recruit to retain' policy.

The firm offers training contracts to graduates across it's Bristol and South West offices and has consistently achieved high retention rates (90% in 2022). Ashfords' commitment to young professionals within the firm is reflected through their career model, which includes structured development and support at each career stage.

This year's trainees have secured NQ roles as follows:

Jessica Iley, Talent Attraction Manager, commented: “The trainees had a challenging start to their training contracts, with remote working still being the norm when they first joined. It’s therefore been great to see the trainees embrace all of the networking and development opportunities that have come with the return to office working, ultimately proving themselves to be great junior lawyers whom the firm really benefit from retaining as NQs.”

Kerry Morgan Gould, Partner & Training Principal, added: "Congratulations to all our newly qualified solicitors - it's fantastic to have a 100% retention rate reinforcing our 'recruit to retain' policy. This result is testament to the trainees’ dedication throughout their training contracts and the firm’s commitment to providing a quality training experience. At Ashfords, we work together, share and support each other’s ambitions and celebrate our successes. Our trainees experience real work and are very much part of the team."

Ashfords has launched three different pathways to qualifying via the SQE. For more information please visit our Trainee Opportunities page.
