Cleantech

Advising across the full bandwidth of the cleantech value chain, from pre-revenue and VC investments through monetization and realisations.

We work with investors and entrepreneurs alike to help them introduce new disruptive materials and technologies to the market.

Cleantech embraces technology and services that aim to address environment issues or disrupt current market practices.
Our Cleantech practice works with the industry, investors and end users. We advise on UK and EU policies, financial instruments, and the incentives that support the cleantech sector.

Whilst cleantech is currently most notable in the clean energy sector,  we often advise on cleantech application in areas such as controlled environment agriculture, alternative waste management, building maintenance and efficiencies, EV charging solutions, water leaks and waste water.

We advise clients on a holistic basis and so can speak to protecting IP, project structuring and finance, negotiating key development agreements, regulatory matters, real estate issues, applying for renewable energy grant programs and advising on renewable energy tax matters

We have extensive experience on both funder issues and start-up challenges in this space. This includes everything from negotiating multiple investment rounds, syndication, scaling up and market protection.
We also have helped clients reach the point where mergers & acquisitions becomes the next stage in. We have a breadth of experience here, covering cross border transactions with US and EU counterparties, including navigating National Security challenges.
