Ashfords LLP steps up to the challenge of the London Legal Walk 2018

12.03.18

National law firm Ashfords is proud to announce its sponsorship of the London Legal Walk 2018. The 10km walk is taking place on 21 May 2018 and raises much needed funds for the London Legal Support Trust.

The London Legal Support Trust is an independent charity that raises funds to support law centres and legal advice agencies that provide or host free legal aid services in London and the South East. The money raised will help some of the most vulnerable in society: the elderly; the disabled; victims of trafficking; and the homeless all gain access to justice.

Over 12,000 lawyers took part in the 10k walk in 2017, raising £800,000.00 for the London Legal Support Trust. The aim is to beat that figure in 2018 and raise further awareness about the amazing work the London Legal Support Trust helps to facilitate.

Ashfords has entered a team of walkers to participate in the challenge, including; Giles Hawkins, Ed Hopkins, Lyndsay Houlette, Caroline Frampton, Jean Norton, Gurkirat Rehal, Tamara Woodhouse, Iona Jones, Adam Woodhouse, Vikki White, James Chiodini, and Manasi Bongale. Giles Hawkins, Head of Ashfords' London Corporate Team, commented: "The London Legal Walk is a fantastic initiative bringing together the legal community throughout London to raise vital funds for the London Legal Support Trust. We are proud to be supporting such a strong and community led initiative and look forward to seeing everyone marching through the streets of London in May".
