Ashfords' private wealth team has secured strong rankings in the Chambers legal directory results for 2024, reinforcing Ashfords as a leading private wealth advisor.

Partners Susie Murray (Agriculture & Rural Affairs), Michael Alden (Private Wealth Law) and Robert Horsey (Private Wealth Disputes) each received Band 1 rankings. The private wealth team also has three lawyers listed as Associates to Watch and partner Barny Croft is named in the Up and Coming category for Private Wealth Disputes and Charity Legacy Disputes

The firm received band 1 rankings for Charities - Legacy Disputes and Private Wealth Law, and the firm's Court of Protection team was also ranked for the first time.

A client testimonial in Chambers said: "They can put together different combinations of their people for different circumstances including management of a trust involving litigators, property sale, as well as the trust/tax teams."

"Ashfords have an excellent track record and a reassuring understanding of client needs."

"They take a human approach to complex problems, they understand the goal and are able to think around corners where other firms can get stuck in a more formulaic approach."

Michael Alden and Head of Private Wealth at Ashfords, said: "These results follow a year of growth for the private wealth team, with senior hires including Partner Mike Westbrook, Senior Associate Hannah Brittain and Associate Anca Seifer. Samantha Newton was also recently promoted to Partner in our family team. Ashfords is the leading choice for complex and specialist Private Wealth advice."
