We work with a health and social care providers across the UK providing support on registration, investigations, prosecutions, crisis management and complex regulatory compliance issues.
 
We offer comprehensive legal risk and liability assessments in relations to Health & Safety and CQC regulatory regimes. We also represent healthcare providers facing regulatory enforcement through the lifecycle of an investigation including guidance and representation if the investigation ends in prosecution. 

We have extensive experience in Inquest and Inquiry work. This is often with associated regulatory proceedings, where we deal with issues of witness self-incrimination, and ‘Prevention of Future Deaths’ reports.

Our team can advise on the legal issues related to product safety including CE marking, medical device compliance and PPE.  We regularly work with consultants to provide clients with access to technical support in the production of specific systems, policies and procedures necessary to underpin their risk management systems.

Our experience also includes advising on due diligence during corporate transactions including complex health and social care providers who are regulated by a range of regulators and can advise in relation to safeguarding, care compliance and risk management.

Our Healthcare regulatory experience includes:

• Successfully representing an NHS Foundation Trust in a CQC investigation in relation to patient safety issues following a serious incident on the Trust estate.
• Advising an NHS Trust on NHSE regulation and governance issues arising from its Covid-19 recovery support programme performance.
• Carrying out due diligence and advising on health and social care compliance in relation to a private equity acquisition of over 70 care sites in England, Scotland and Wales.
• Advising organisations on compliance with medicines and medical device regulation compliance, and in relation to registration as a provider of regulated health services.
• Providing advice to an NHS Trust on matters relating to the Covid-19 Public Inquiry.
• Representing numerous health and social care provides at Inquest.
