Employment webinar - immigration law update

16.07.25 16.07.25

Significant changes to UK immigration rules came into effect on 22 July, including changes to the Skilled Worker visa route and an increase to the minimum salary requirement. Around 180 roles, including many in retail, construction and office-based roles, will no longer qualify under the Skilled Worker route.

Su Apps and Ellen Parker in our employment team hosted a webinar to examine what these changes will mean in practice, as well as looking at further proposed reforms to the graduate route, English language requirements and settlement rules. The team also provide an update on the Employment Rights Bill, covering upcoming reforms between 2026 and 2027.
