Ashfords has advised investment management company, Ingenious, on the sale of five anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities to Ancala portfolio company Biogen, a leading owner and operator in this sector. Their annual electrical equivalent capacity is 300,000 MWh – enough energy to supply more than 100,000 average households with electricity per year.

The transaction involved the simultaneous sale of multiple plants located across various locations in England and Scotland, therefore it brought a unique set of legal and practical challenges.
