Property Partner James Hemsley and Employment Partner Charles Pallot were guests on a panel of experts for an online forum run by Plymouth Council’s and answered questions form an audience of around 100 small businesses. The Q&A took place on a Skype Conference, with the businesses joining the session to listen to the panel. Many of the questions focussed on cash flow, grant funding, furloughing, business rates and rent issues.
Katie Webber in the Trusts & Estates team held a Skype webinar alongside public law barrister from No5 Chambers, to address the impact of the Coronavirus Act 2020 on the provision of health and social care. It was attended by a number of Katie’s key referrers and charity contacts within the health and social care sector and was also an opportunity to address their queries and concerns in relation to the new legislation.
Stephen Moore (Employment) and Andrew Perkins (Commercial Disputes) conducted the first of Ashfords COVID-19 weekly Q&A sessions answering correspondents questions on Furloughing, health & safety whilst working from home, insolvency processes, force majeure provisions and alteration to work practices.
