Ashfords is a top 100 law firm with six offices, including a significant presence in London. We’re based predominantly in the South West, with our biggest office in the vibrant city of Exeter.
Ashfords has always been about its people. We want our employees to be engaged and motivated, so that our clients will benefit from a fresh and friendly approach. Our open-plan offices lend well to this idea as all our employees get to work alongside the Partners and Lawyers who are supervising them.
Ashfords is proud to have offered apprenticeships for the last three years and to over 25 legal and business apprentices. Apprenticeships at Ashfords provide a great opportunity to get stuck into the world of work and gain practical experience in a professional environment. The apprenticeships are between 18 - 24 months long and you'll develop key transferable skills. You will be working at one of our South West locations for the duration of your apprenticeship, with the majority of positions based at our Exeter office.
How do I become an Apprentice
To be an apprentice at Ashfords we expect a good standard of education and would be looking for you to have 8 GCSEs at grade A*- C (including Maths & English); for the Paralegal apprenticeship you must also have (or be expecting) 3 A Levels at grade C or above.
We are looking for people who are highly motivated to learn and have a positive, can-do approach. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be well organised and have good attention to detail.
2020 Recruitment Update
We are closely monitoring the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on all aspects of our business and have taken the difficult decision to postpone our September 2020 apprenticeship recruitment.

Please be assured we will keeping the situation under close review over the coming months and will provide an update on our plans for apprenticeship recruitment by July 2020.
