Trainee Legal Executive

Biography

Keeley is a Trainee Legal Executive in the Employment Team. She assists on a wide range of employment law and HR matters, in addition to UK immigration law matters.

Keeley has experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, assisting both claimants and respondents in bringing and defending claims in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. She has been involved in preparations for various Employment Tribunal hearings, liaising with clients and counsel. Where appropriate, Keeley assists in the negotiations of settlement agreements on behalf of clients.

Keeley also assists with drafting employment documentation such as company policies, contracts of employment and consultancy agreements, and on UK immigration matters, including migrant workers’ right to work in the UK, sponsor licence obligations and sponsor licence applications.

Keeley joined Ashfords in September 2018 as a Paralegal Apprentice through Cilex, qualifying in December 2020. Keeley is currently continuing her studies through Cilex with the ambition of qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive.

Relevant experience

Various clients: Assisting with acting for both claimants and respondents in bringing and defending Employment Tribunal claims, and assisting with preparation for Employment Tribunal hearings.

Various clients: Liaising with ACAS, and assisting in negotiations of settlement agreements on behalf of clients.
