Ashfords LLP supports 13-year old cycling enthusiast on his cycle challenge across Australia for charity

10.03.17

A 13 year old cyclist, Si-am Juntakereket, is cycling an impressive 2,768 miles across Australia in just 32 days to raise money for Comic Relief, Cornwall Community Foundation and ROC, to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world's poorest countries.

Si-am, from Bodmin in Cornwall, will be aiming to average between 90 - 100 miles per day in temperatures that soar to fifty degrees Celsius as well as facing ferocious winds. During this gruelling challenge Si-am will be attempting to set a new British Record for the youngest Briton to cycle across Australia, and a fantastic new World Record for the fastest crossing of Australia on bicycle by a child.

So far Si-am has cycled an impressive 320 miles!

Rory Suggett, Partner and Head of CSR at Ashfords, commented: "We are delighted to be supporting Si-am on this incredible challenge. Taking on this ride takes a lot of courage and dedication and it is a great example of what you can achieve when you put your mind to it".

"We wish Si-am and all of his support team the best of luck with the cycle and his attempt to set two world record attempts."

Ashfords runs monthly Cycle Networks in the Exeter and Bristol offices. If you are interested in joining, or would like further information, please contact our Events Team
