UK law firm Ashfords has appointed Legal Director Kristy Coleman to the firm's Commercial IP team, with a focus on non-contentious IP, food and regulatory law.

Kristy joins Ashfords from Greengage LLP where she was Partner. She brings a wealth of experience within a variety of sectors, including food and drink, creative, retail and publishing. Kristy has worked with an array of different businesses from startups to international brands.

Kristy's appointment follows Ashfords' strong performance in this year's directory rankings, with the Commercial and IP teams ranked top tier in the Legal 500. IP Partner, Carl Steele, was also promoted to the Hall of Fame category.

Brian Farrell, Partner and Head of Commercial & IP at Ashfords, said: "It's a pleasure to welcome Kristy to the team. Her range of experience will help bolster our expertise and help our clients to meet their commercial goals."

Kristy said: "I’m thrilled to join Ashfords and look forward to supporting clients in many areas of their business through Ashfords’ dedicated teams. I'm excited to bring my industry specific experience to help understand the challenges many clients face".

Ashfords are valued legal partners to a wide range of corporate, public and private clients across the UK and internationally; counted on by clients to get the right result whether that’s delivering commercial objectives, protecting family assets, making investments or solving disputes.
