Ashfords acts on investment round for digital health innovator

Ashfords' corporate team has successfully advised digital health innovator, Health and Care Innovations Limited, on an investment round which will accelerate growth and strengthen the company's existing relationship with the NHS. The investment round was led by the British Business Bank’s South West Investment Fund via its fund manager, the FSE Group.

Health and Care Innovations is an award-winning digital health innovator that enables the NHS to reduce demand, waiting lists and backlogs by giving patients the information and support they need to confidently manage their care at home.

Their CONNECTPlus platform and comprehensive library of over 1,000 patient-centric videos use information in three ways:

  • Information for patients: education and support to help patients manage all their conditions at home.
  • Information from patients: supporting remote care and gathering data through surveys and digital tools.
  • Information about patients: enabling decision-making by clinicians to support remote care, triage and population health management.

Ashfords worked closely with the company to successfully close the round quickly and within the planned timeframe to facilitate Health and Care Innovations’ growth journey at a time of growing need for digital solutions to address the challenges in the NHS.

Richard Wyatt-Haines, founder and CEO at Health and Care Innovations, said:

'It's been an absolute joy working with Ashfords. Together we got the deal over the line, on time, without any major hitches - a credit to the team's professionalism and skills. Laura Guest in particular was a great relationship manager in terms of guiding me, reassuring me and managing my expectations; thank you for going the extra mile.'

Ashfords helps businesses to deliver their strategies and growth plans across a range of corporate transactions, fundraisings and investments.
