Biography

Sam is a solicitor in the Real Estate Team.

Sam has gained experience acting for individuals, businesses, charities, SIPPs/SSASs, developers and landowners with the acquisition and disposition of freehold and leasehold property. Sam has extensive experience with advising landlord and tenants on commercial leases.

Before working at Ashfords, Sam was employed at a firm based in Plymouth. Sam was responsible for managing a varied portfolio of matters.

After graduating from The University of Plymouth, Sam interned in the Contract Management team at GE Aviation Systems Ltd where he was involved with drafting and reviewing contracts of sale, non-disclosure agreements, updating the standard terms and conditions to be in align with Incoterms 2020, and advised in-house counsel on a particular effect of Brexit on GE Aviation Systems Ltd.

Sam was then employed as a paralegal at Trowers & Hamlins in the Agricultural and Rural Real Estate team, based in Exeter. Sam also dealt with other aspects of property transactions, such as adverse possession claims, applications for first registrations and business farm tenancies. During this role, Sam also prepared research reports and drafted articles which focused on addressing critical concerns for his clients, such as climate change and the agricultural bill.
