Biography
Jon is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Team specialising in venture capital, private equity and M&A.
Jon advises on fund-raising and investment rounds, corporate restructuring matters, mergers and acquisitions, restructures and asset purchases.
Before Ashfords, Jon qualified and worked as a solicitor at Macfarlanes in the corporate tax group. Jon has extensive experience advising market leading venture capital firms and high growth companies having previously worked at the VC fund Notion Capital as General Counsel.

- Notion Capital: advising Notion Capital on multiple investment rounds including on leading m3ter’s £11million Series A funding and Hokodo’s $40million Series B fundraising.
- BGF: advising BGF on multiple investment rounds including in leading on Cyted’s (an early cancer diagnostics company) £13 million financing and BBC Maestro’s (an online education platform) and Enhanc3D Genomics’s (a functional genomics company) multi-million-pound financings.
- AlphaPet Ventures: advising AlphaPet Ventures, the leading technology-driven brand platform for premium pet food in Europe, on its acquisition of Arden Grange (a leading premium pet food brand in the United Kingdom).
- Holtzbrinck Ventures: assisting Holtzbrinck Ventures on a $19m Series A investment round in logistics start-up Zencargo.
- Redland Business Solutions: advising on the sale of RegTech software-as-a-service company Redland Business Solutions to Ideagen PLC.
- Frog Capital: advising Frog Capital on multiple investments.
- PeopleHR: advising on the sale of the innovative HR solutions provider People HR to the Access Group.
