Trainee Solicitor
Ben is a fourth seat Trainee in the Commercial & IP team, assisting on various commercial matters including Energy and Waste.
This is Ben's fourth seat, having moved from Disputed Wills and Trusts where he assisted with claims involving contentious wills, trusts and estates including will validity disputes, 1975 act claims and estate administration disputes. During Ben's time in Construction and Infrastructure Ben assisted on various construction disputes acting for employers, contractors and subcontractors. His seat in Public Sector saw Ben act on various government procurement projects and other matters including charity grant funding agreements.
Ben was a Paralegal in Real Estate for 18 months prior to beginning his Training Contract, assisting with transactions for both freehold and leasehold matters. Ben joined Ashfords in 2021 after completing his LLB Law degree at the University of Bristol. Ben achieved a distinction in the Legal Practice Course with an MSc in Law, Business and Management in 2022 before beginning his Training Contract in September 2022.
Ben is a committee member of Ashfords' XYBC and is regularly involved in organising and hosting events for young professionals in the Exeter area.
