Solicitor
Ben is a Solicitor in the Employment team.
Ben has experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, assisting both claimants and respondents in bringing and defending claims in the Employment Tribunal. Ben works with a variety of clients, ranging from individuals to large companies and franchises. Ben also assists with advising on and negotiating settlement agreements on behalf of clients, as well as drafting employment documentation such as company policies and contracts of employment.
Ben also assists the Immigration team in advising on UK Immigration Matters, including migrant workers’ right to work in the UK and the preparation of sponsor licence and visa applications.
Prior to qualifying into the Employment Team in March 2023, Ben completed his training contract with Ashfords and undertook seats in the Commercial Property and Corporate departments. Before joining Ashfords, Ben completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at Plymouth University and the Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in Exeter. During this time, Ben also gained three years’ experience working as a Commercial Disputes Paralegal at an International law firm.
