Ashfords advised ClusterHQ on the UK legal aspects of the $12m Series A funding round. The round was led by Accel Partners, with participation from Canaan Partners and existing investors.
ClusterHQ will use funds raised to expand its technical and go-to-market resources with the expansion of its headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area to complement its Bristol-based development team.
The Ashfords team was led by Partner and Head of Corporate, Andrew Betteridge, and Corporate Senior Associate, Rory Suggett, who commented on working with ClusterHQ: "It was great to work with the ClusterHQ team and help them make the leap across to the US for the next phase of the Company's expansion. This is an exciting time for the Company, with its Flocker project generating a real buzz in the industry. It is an excellent example of Bristol entrepreneurs creating world-class technology which has enabled the Company to secure finance from a leading institutional VC fund such as Accel."
