New Government guidance for UK tech and digital companies looking to expand in China

11.11.20

The Government has released new guidance to help UK firms negotiate the ethical, legal and commercial questions they may encounter in China or when working with Chinese businesses.

China is the UK's third-largest export market and a number of UK tech companies have launched in China, including AI Unicorns, Improbable and Blue Prism.

The guidance highlights key considerations for digital and tech companies to consider as well as additional resources. The guidance is further to measures announced in June 2020, such as the Digital Trade Network for Asia-Pacific and Tech Exporting Academy which are both designed to support UK tech companies and encourage trade and investment opportunities overseas.
