Astounding success for Ashford LLPs’ charity quiz in Bristol

24.07.19

Law firm Ashfords LLP hosted a fun-filled charity quiz night on 11 July raising over £5,000 for its recently established charitable foundation, The Ashfords Foundation.

It was a popular event with guests taking 33 tables and packing out the Cosy Club in central Bristol. Teams from Curtis Banks, Sparkol and Bishop Fleming, to name but a few, applied their minds to a quiz mastered by Chris Dyson, head of Ashfords' Bristol office and Rory Suggett, partner and trustee of the Foundation of Ashfords LLP. There was a great combination of camaraderie and rivalry among the teams vying to secure the pole position in fast-paced trivia. Congratulations to the Loan Rangers team from Natwest and Coutts, who were the winners on the night.

Ashfords were delighted to welcome Caring in Bristol to the quiz both to take part and to talk to guests about the important work they are doing to try to solve the issue of homelessness in Bristol.  Caring in Bristol was recently awarded a £15,000 grant over three years from the Ashfords Foundation.

The evening was a terrific success for the Foundation and a great opportunity for attendees to catch up with their contacts as well as engage in some healthy competition.

Rory Suggett said: “I’d like to give a massive thanks to our guests for their generosity on the night. The money raised by this event can be invested by the Ashfords Foundation right back into local charities at a grass roots level where it makes a real difference.”
