Ashfords has announced its sponsorship of LaingBuisson’s annual ‘Investing in Healthcare’ conference, set to take place at The Royal College of Surgeons on 2 April 2025.

LaingBuisson is a leading provider of health and social care market intelligence, and is the official provider of independent sector healthcare market data to the UK government’s Office for National Statistics.

This year’s conference will be chaired by seasoned industry executive Paul Bridge who has been at the forefront of securing and delivering substantial institutional investment into housing and healthcare over the last 30 years. The day will include  expert-led discussions on the future of healthcare including government policy priorities and ambitions, the macro-economic outlook on investment, the role of technology in driving healthcare productivity and challenges and opportunities around investment and in closing deals in the UK healthcare sector.

Jocelyn Ormond, healthcare and life sciences sector lead and corporate partner at UK law firm Ashfords, and a panellist for the 'Expert Guidance on Investment and M&A Sales’ conference session said,

'Capital flows into the healthcare sector remain strong, with private equity and other investments supporting innovation and transformation across the industry as it rises to a complex set of challenges around the sustainable provision of ever-improving care. This conference will be a great forum to explore those challenges and opportunities with operators, growth companies, investors and other experts from across the industry.'

The keynote speaker for the event will be former Downing Street press secretary Andy Coulson, who will discuss dealing with exceptional events and how to seize the opportunity when a crisis hits to build back better, both personally and professionally.
