UK law firm Ashfords has been announced as Ocean Conservation Trust's pledge funder for its 'Big Give Christmas Challenge', which has subsequently given the charity the opportunity to double its donations for an upcoming 2025 project.

Match funding campaign website BigGive has doubled Ashfords' 'pledged fund' donation of £7,500 to kick-start Ocean Conservation Trust's fundraising this December. The 'Big Give Christmas Challenge', starting on 3 December and finishing on 10 December, aspires to raise an additional £15,000 to bring the grand total to £30,000.

The 'Big Give Christmas Challenge' is taking place to raise funds for the charity's upcoming project in 2025 - 'The Ocean’s Voice: Bridging the generations for change'. This is a new engagement programme that will connect generations together, to inspire and record a celebration of ocean culture and heritage through workshops, digital experiences and online resources. The programme intends to improve wellbeing, reduce social isolation in older adults, and increase the understanding of heritage and connectivity with other generations.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge will have a long-lasting impact on our ocean and Ocean Conservation Trust's culture, but also on the communities the charity works with. All donations need to be made from 3-10 December, through the charity's BigGive page.

Ashfords is passionate about having a positive impact on its local communities and the wider environment. The firm supports the Ocean Conservation Trust's through Ashfords' 'Power of Three' programme, a three-year initiative supporting three charities that link with the firm’s sector expertise, locations and experience.
