Biography

Yvonne is a senior associate in the commercial team, specialising in projects and infrastructure.

Yvonne advises clients involved in the financing, ownership, operation and use of infrastructure assets across a range of sectors, including healthcare, education and waste management. She has particular experience advising on PFI/PPP projects and supports clients throughout the lifecycle of these arrangements, helping them navigate the complex contractual and commercial issues that can arise.

Yvonne provides commercially focussed advice on contractual rights and obligations, working closely with clients to help them to manage risk, resolve challenges and achieve their strategic objectives.

Yvonne trained at a top 20 international law firm in London and Hong Kong before relocating to the South West to continue her career.

Relevant experience

  • Project SPV: Advising the project company of a leading UK infrastructure investment fund on operational matters affecting a healthcare PFI, with a particular focus on the construction of new facilities to meet the demands of their patients.

  • NHS Trust: Advising an NHS Trust on various issues concerning the procurement strategy for a flagship redevelopment project. This involved working closely with a multi-disciplinary team as part of a wider team of consultants to ensure deadlines were met and comprehensive support was provided to the client.

  • Project SPV: Supporting a client in the waste management sector with its bid for the acquisition of a target company. This involved reviewing existing contracts held by the target and highlighting potential risks in those contracts so that our client could factor these in to its bid.

  • Project SPV: Negotiating variations to PFI project documents for a project company operating an educational facility.

  • Project SPV: Advising the project company of an infrastructure investment fund on a social housing project in relation to resolving complex pre-disputes issues.

  • Facilities Management provider: Advising a major UK facilities management company in relation to operational variations at one of its healthcare facilities.
