Biography

Scarlett is a paralegal in the Bristol property disputes team.

Scarlett regularly works on landlord and tenant matters, and manages her own case load of housing conditions claims for Local Authorities. 

Having previously worked with the Exeter team, since joining Bristol, Scarlett has also has also assisted senior lawyers on a wide range of other property disputes, including insurance and boundary disputes. 

Prior to joining Ashfords, Scarlett completed her LLB Law with Business degree, graduating from The University of Exeter in 2022. 

Following graduation, in 2022 she joined Ashfords as a paralegal in the real estate department, assisting the plot sales team on the sale and purchase of new build properties for multiple developer client’s. Before re-joining Ashfords and the property disputes team in 2024, Scarlett took a short career break to travel. 

Relevant experience

  • Local Authorities: Advising on and managing a case load of housing conditions claims. 
  • Private Client: Assisting senior lawyers on a insurance dispute between a freehold client and the leaseholder of their property.
  • Private Client: Conducting legal research and assisting senior lawyers on a long standing boundary dispute between neighbours. 
  • Various developer clients: Assisting on plot sales – freehold, leasehold and coach house properties. Assisting on part exchange transactions.
