Nicola Mallen

Biography

Nicola is a senior knowledge lawyer in the commercial disputes team.

Nicola coordinates legal knowledge sharing across the department. She analyses key developments in the law and disseminates technical and practical guidance to the team. She also drafts standard documents and organises and delivers training. Nicola’s role ensures that the team delivers an efficient, consistent, and technically excellent service to Ashfords’ clients.

Nicola worked in industry for two years before qualifying as a solicitor in 1998. She worked as a commercial litigator for five years before changing to the knowledge lawyer role in 2004. She joined Ashfords in 2025 and specialises in the civil procedure rules, costs, funding, alternative dispute resolution, and contract law.

Nicola is a member of the Association of Litigation Professional Support Lawyers.
