Nazash Asif



Nazash is a Solicitor in the Restructuring & Insolvency team.

Nazash is one year PQE and has experience in advising clients on various matters including intellectual property disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, trusts disputes and landlord and tenant matters. 

Prior to joining Ashfords, Nazash was a trainee with a boutique commercial litigation practice based in Chancery Lane. 

Relevant experience

  • Private individual: Assisted with obtaining a worldwide freezing order against a husband and wife and advised on variation of the freezing order for an individual who was owed around £500,000 after he provided the husband investment funds which were transferred abroad.
  • Multiparty: Advised 10 companies who were suppliers to a food company which entered liquidation in applying for retrospective validation orders.
  • Private individual: Assisted the ex-wife of a bankrupt in successfully setting aside the application made under s.423 IA 1986 by the Trustee in bankruptcy.
  • Private company: Acted for an international company based in China, for breach of contract following non delivery of 1500 luxury vehicles ordered via a BVI company operating in England.
  • Private company: Acted for freeholder of 150 units in Central London, advised on leaseholder disputes, assisted in recovery of outstanding service charges in the region of £100,000 and enforcement of covenants.
  • Private individuals: Acted for grandparents who were Trustees of a multimillion pound trust created by them for the benefit of two grandchildren who are minors. Assisted them in dealing with allegations of breach of Trustee and fiduciary duties from their daughter and son in law and the applications from the latter to be appointed Trustees instead.
