Biography

Lauren is a solicitor in the commercial and intellectual property team, focusing on procurement and public law.

Lauren completed her training contract in local government. She has experience advising on procurement contracts, the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023, and governance and vires questions.

Lauren undertook a degree in Law with Spanish at the university of Buckingham followed by a masters in commercial law. She completed her training contract at Elmbridge Borough Council where she began working in the contracts team. She further consolidated and developed her public contract knowledge at Oxfordshire County Council.

Relevant experience

A key focus of Lauren's work has been the transition to the Procurement Act. A highlight has been developing training for council employees and legal services on the implementation of the Procurement Act 2023. She has also written and provided training to local government members and officers on the Freedom of Information Act. Lauren has also worked on many types of public contract including an extensive caseload of grant funding agreements and developed an operational understanding of JCTs.
