Solicitor
Josh joined Ashfords in December 2024 as a solicitor in the employment team.
Josh is experienced in advising both employers and employees on a range of employment related matters but specialises in Employment Tribunal litigation. Josh regularly represents and defends clients in relation to claims for unfair dismissal, complex discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract throughout all stages of the Employment Tribunal process including representing clients at a number of preliminary hearings and Judicial Mediations.
Josh is experienced in advising clients in relation to non-contentious matters, such as drafting handbooks, policies, and contracts, and routinely drafts, and advises on, settlement agreements. Josh also provides day-to-day helpline-based HR advice and support to employers.
Prior to joining Ashfords, Josh worked for a national law firm running his own caseload of personal injury matters before commencing his training contract. As part of his training contract, Josh undertook a seat in employment and qualified as a solicitor into an employment team in March 2023.
Josh graduated from the University of Exeter in 2018 having studied Law before completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Bristol.
