Jonathon Yates

Biography

Jonathon is a Solicitor in the Family Team.

Jonathon assists the team with all aspects of private family law matters including divorce and financial remedy matters, cohabitation and private law children matters.

Prior to qualifying as a Family Solicitor, Jonathon undertook seats in Residential Conveyancing and Personal Injury claims.

Prior to joining Ashfords, Jonathon trained and qualified as a solicitor in Plymouth. Jonathon read Law at the University of Plymouth and completed his LPC at the University of Law in Bristol. Whilst Jonathon was completing his LPC course he also gained Paralegal experience working for a firm of solicitors in Plymouth.

Relevant experience

Various clients: Assisting the Lead partner in financial remedy proceedings concerning complex financial assets and disputes.
Various clients: Representing parents in private law children matters including with which parent the child should live and what time they should spend with the other parent.
Various clients: Advising and preparing in connection with pre and post nuptial agreements to help to protect assets in the event of a later divorce.
