Biography

Hannah is an Associate in the commercial team. Hannah advises on data protection matters and commercial contracts, with a particular focus on the technology sector.

Hannah has a breadth of experience advising companies and organisations of all sizes, from international group companies to early stage start-ups, on their data protection compliance journey; as well as drafting and negotiating complex privacy and security provisions. 

Hannah regularly provides strategic advice on new projects and initiatives and the data protection implications of these, in addition to providing data protection support on corporate transactions including acquisitions and investment rounds.

Hannah also has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts including software subscription agreements, IT framework agreements, consumer facing terms and franchise agreements.

Relevant experience

  • Form3: Negotiating and drafting customer and supplier agreements for this fast-growing payment processing platform provider, including negotiating with a number of regulated challenger banks and tier one financial institutions. 
  • Property management services group: Project managing a large scale data protection compliance review for various group entities and drafting the necessary data protection provisions and policies to achieve compliance.  
  • A County Council: Providing comprehensive support with an ongoing Council initiative involving the processing of significant quantities of personal data (including special category data), including a full review of third party processing arrangements and completing a data protection impact assessment. 
  • Various franchisees and franchisors: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating franchise agreements, including the grant of the first independent UK sub-licence from an established US services brand.
