Biography

Claire is an Associate in the Real Estate Team, advising on a range of commercial real estate matters including acquisitions, disposals, secured lending and development.

Claire advises clients on all aspects of commercial property including: secured lending; acquisition and disposal of commercial and residential development property; pre-emption agreements; option agreements and conditional contracts; overage; landlord and tenant; reports on title and property due diligence.

Claire trained with Foot Anstey, before spending 10 years in-house with Cornwall Council.

Relevant experience

Local Authority: Advising on the acquisition of sites for redevelopment, dealing with all aspects of site assembly from third party rights, mineral issues and overage to onward disposal to a connected company.
Local Authority: Advising on disposal of a property portfolio to a housebuilder, to include site assembly, varying and removing third party rights and delivery of social housing back to the local authority.
Local Authority: Advising on a large devolution project of over 50 assets to a lower tier authority, including transfers, leases, and licences.
Local Authority: Advising on the implementation of a Development Consent Order to deliver a strategic road improvement scheme, land acquisitions and disposals.
Local Authority: Advising on granting leases over a wide portfolio of assets, including consent for works and change of use.
