Ceris is undertaking her fourth seat on secondment with a large retailer client of Ashfords. Ceris will be working closely with a large in house legal team doing a mix of commercial and employment work.
It is well known that a claimant can seek permission from the court to make amendments to its pleaded case. Sometimes this will be a subtle adjustment as certain facts become clearer or where new issues arise once proceedings are underway.
For me, 8 April 2020 marks day 16 of working from home during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. 8 April 2020 also marks day 28 into my second seat in the Construction and Infrastructure team. Yes, that means just 12 days of ‘normal’ working in a completely new department and during a period of uncertainty in the lead up to a nationwide lockdown.
