Biography

Ben is a solicitor in the commercial disputes team, with experience in broad range of commercial disputes. Ben has experience in dealing with matters in the County Court, High Court and Supreme Court.

Ben has represented the interests of national and international clients, being instructed by both individuals and companies. He has particular experience in contractual disputes and the registering and enforcement of foreign judgements.

Ben was a paralegal and completed his training contract in a Legal 500 firm, before joining Ashfords as a Solicitor in 2025.

Relevant experience

Ben played a key role in the landmark Supreme Court case of Lifestyle Equities CV and another (Respondents) v Ahmed and another (Appellants) [2024] UKSC 17. Ben was part of the team that was successful in this matter involving complex legal concepts traversing the law of accessory liability, company law and evolution of the common law in the context directors being found personally liable for accessory liability.

Francesca Bottari: Advising in the case of De Sanctis v Bottari [2025] EWHC 270 (KB). The matter involved advising on and obtaining an interim injunction to prevent enforcement of property possession.

Ben is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales and a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
