Biography

Aimee is a chartered legal executive in the employment team, specialising in contentious work within the jurisdiction of the Employment Tribunal.

With over four year's experience in employment litigation, Aimee has a significant level of experience in representing both claimants and respondents. This includes acting for large multi-academy trusts and national charities, SME's and individuals.

The nature of the work undertaken equally wide ranging, inclusive of complex discrimination claims (including whistleblowing and maternity), dismissal claims and complaints relating to TUPE.

Aimee also regularly represents clients in preliminary hearings, and has experience in successfully enforcing judgments via the HCE.

Prior to qualification, Aimee worked as a Tribunal Clerk in the Bristol Employment Tribunal. Utilising the knowledge gained during this time, Aimee seeks to apply a pragmatic and solutions focused approach which is tailored to each client's specific needs. From this, Aimee has successfully resolved a significant number of matters by way of negotiations and settlement.

Relevant experience

During her time working in employment litigation, Aimee has achieved the following:

  • Successfully representing a claimant in a complex matter of marital discrimination and unfair dismissal, and obtaining a Tribunal award of over £90,000.
  • Attaining a judgment which confirmed that 'perimenopause' can be recognised as a disability, as per the meaning of the Equality Act 2010, in a matter which attracted press attention.
  • Achieving a settlement on a wholly non-financial basis (resolved in full and final settlement for a factually agreed reference).
