Ashfords recognised by WTR 1000 as a leading UK trade mark practice

Ashfords' intellectual property team has for the second year running been recognised in the World Trademark Review 1000 publication.

The team was acknowledged as providing comprehensive and realistic advice, at a reasonable rate, giving clear, risk-based options.

Partners Carl Steele and Clare Jackman were also listed as Recommended Individuals.

The publication is dedicated to identifying the world’s leading trade mark practitioners and practices. It serves as the definitive tool to locating the best trade mark advisers in the world.

The recognition builds on Ashfords' brand protection team's strength of expertise, with three (and soon to be four) Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys, combining over 50 years' experience. The team provides a full-service offering, including clearing, filing, registering, opposing and litigating trade marks and brands, as well as negotiating commercial agreements, such as licensing and merchandising agreements.

Commenting on the recognition, Ashfords Partner and Head of Intellectual Property, Carl Steele, said: "We are honoured and humbled to be once again recognised by World Trademark Review 1000 as leading trade mark legal service providers in the UK. WTR is an esteemed guide. We are delighted to read that market sources have confirmed that we are providing our clients with advice that is clear, strategic and rooted in reality, which is incredibly important to us and our clients.”

The team’s ranking follows hot on the heels of the team's recent recognition in both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, in which Carl and Clare were also recognised as leading individuals.
