The recent case of Tenon FM Ltd v Cawley [2018] EWHC 1972 (QB) highlights the importance of not only getting employment contracts signed, but also making sure records are kept up-to-date with signed contracts for all employees.

Countdown to the Disclosure Pilot 2019

We are now just a few months away from the introduction of the new mandatory Disclosure Pilot in the Business & Property Courts, due to come into force in January 2019.  As reported in our last year, the Pilot is the product of a working group established in 2016 to address the ever-increasing cost and complexity of disclosure.

Contract formation revisited

The Court of Appeal has recently reversed a decision of the High Court, holding that the parties to a construction dispute had agreed terms despite a lack of clarity in their correspondence.
