LocalGlobe, a UK-based venture capital firm, has led on-demand energy startup Zebra Fuel on their $2.5m Seed round. Zebra Fuel delivers fuel directly to vehicles and to date, has raised $3m in funding with investment from LocalGlobe, Firstminute Capital, and Zoopla founder, Alex Chesterman.
Entrepreneurs Reda Bennis and Romain Saint Guilhem set up Zebra Fuel with the idea that it no longer made sense for drivers to be dependent on a static location to refuel their vehicles. Zebra Fuel enables users to order a refill in the same way they would book a taxi or order a takeaway.
Ashfords' Partner Giles Hawkins, led the team advising LocalGlobe on the Seed round. Giles commented: "We were delighted to have advised LocalGlobe on this exciting investment opportunity supporting Zebra Fuel on changing the way cities work by delivering fuel directly to drivers".
