Ashfords' Family team expands with two new hires

Ashfords' Family team has welcomed two new solicitors to the team, as the firm looks to increase its family services offering.

Sue Ellingham, senior associate, joins from Michelmores LLP. She has over 28 years of experience in family law and is a resolution accredited specialist and collaborative law solicitor. Sue has extensive experience in acting for clients experiencing personal relationship issues including, divorce, same sex and transgender relationship disputes, complex financial disputes, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, complex children cases, domestic abuse cases. 

Louise Kiely, solicitor, also joins the team from another Bristol-based law firm. She is a member of Resolution, a recognised organisation of family lawyers, and has experience dealing with private family law matters including relationship planning, relationship breakdown, divorce, financial disputes and children cases.

The appointments follow on from the team's recognition in Legal 500, with senior associate Samantha Newton listed as a Rising Star. Samantha is also listed as an Associate to Watch in Chambers 2022.

Ashfords' family team provides specialist legal advice and their expertise ensures their clients receive a complete and professional service. A number of the team are Collaboratively trained, which means they can help clients navigate their family law issues jointly with their partner and their chosen Collaborative adviser.
