Business occupiers: what will you do when your lease ends?

06.02.19

If you run an SME, you probably occupy one or more premises for the purpose of your business. You may be lucky enough to own the building that you trade from, but perhaps, more likely, you have a lease.

Securing the right premises will be vital for most companies.  However, it's easy to get caught out by some of the quirks in the world of commercial real estate.  One of the things that business occupiers are often surprised by is how far ahead they should plan, when leaving their premises or renewing their lease.

We have produced a flow chart which highlights some of things that you should be considering in the run up to the expiry of a business lease.

If you have any queries regarding your rights and obligations as a business occupier, or how you can best plan for the future, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
