A Public Authority push for EV

05.11.19

The Transport Secretary has urged local authorities to increase the roll-out of EV charging points, by taking advantage of £5 million funding available to help build up local charging infrastructure following the release of a ‘league table’ on the availability of electric car charging points.

The ‘league table’ shows that London has the highest number of charge points in the country, with c4,000. The Government is clear that "driving an electric vehicle to be convenient for people from all corners of the country, and that local authorities have a key role to play" and that our postcode should play no part in how easy it is to use EV.
