Senior Associate
Sophie is a Senior Associate in the Property DisputesTeam.
Sophie advises clients on a range of issues and she has particular experience in advising Law of Property Act Receivers and lenders in matters which are often time-critical and require robust strategies to maximise recovery. Her practice also includes dealing with residential and commercial landlord and tenant matters, disputes over boundaries, adverse possession, easements, restrictive covenants and general interpretation of contracts including leases.
After training and qualifying at a Top 20 firm, Sophie joined Ashfords and acts for a wide variety of clients, including large portfolio landlords and tenants, LPA Receivers, lenders and landowners. She is a detail-focused lawyer with a commercial perspective, advising clients not only on the legal merits of their particular issue but also the commercial and reputational risks.

Acting for freeholder of several properties in respect of applications brought by leaseholders concerning service charges, alleged breaches of landlord obligations, the right to manage and for the appointment of a new managing agent. Also representing freeholder in Local Authority enforcement action.
