Trainee Solicitor
Kate is a trainee solicitor in her third seat in the real estate team.
Kate’s first seat was within the residential and rural team, and her second in litigation on a client secondment to the Pennon Group.
Prior to starting her training contract, Kate worked as a paralegal in the real estate department where she supported the team with acquisitions and disposals of commercial properties for regional and national property investments, as well as dealing with commercial lettings for both landlord and tenants and assisting with wider estate management across the portfolio.
Kate joined Ashfords in 2020 following completion of her Zoology degree at the University of Exeter. Whilst working as a paralegal, Kate then went on to complete the GDL and LPC LLM at the University of Law.
Kate has also written articles for UKELA regarding the anticipated Supreme Court Judgement in The Manchester Ship Canal Company Ltd v United Utilities Water Ltd and Property Investor News regarding the changes to the EPC requirements for commercial property.
