Biography

Caroline is a Partner in the real estate team specialising in investment work. Caroline qualified in 1986.

Caroline deals with investment properties whether commercial, residential or a mixture of both.

Caroline has a wealth of experience having qualified over 30 years ago. She spent 8 years in the London office of a national (now international) law firm and held the role of Counsel at a City law firm before joining Ashfords.

Relevant experience

  • Family company: Advising on the acquisition of what is now a multi-million pound portfolio of central London investment properties over period in excess of 20 years. The work has covered buying, selling and re-financing commercial, mixed use and residential properties and included involvement in collective enfranchisement claims. Caroline dealt with all aspects of managing those investments including leases (new, variations, surrenders and extensions) wayleaves, and licences (to alter, assign or sublet).    
  • Family Trust: Advising on the acquisition of commercial and residential investment properties and their management.  Recent deals include the purchase of a HMO for £9m and two London pubs for £9.25m.
  • Family company: Advising on the management of its investment portfolio including dealing with statutory lease extension claims  and office and warehouse lettings.
  • Family company: Advising on the management of a commercial estate in Hertfordshire.
  • Education sector company: Advising on its office leases including for its group companies. 
  • Local authorities: Advising several London Councils on telecommunication leases with Code operators.
