Biography
Amelia is a trainee solicitor in the corporate team.
Amelia advises on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, private equity investments and company reorganisations, with a specialist interest in the technology sector.
Prior to joining Ashfords, Amelia worked in business and innovation consultancy, specialising in non-dilutive finance for technology companies.
Amelia also completed a secondment to Aardman Animations, supporting the in-house legal team at the studio behind Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep. During her training contract, she also gained experience in Employment, Banking and Finance and Tax through her seat rotations.

- Advising WealthOS on its acquisition by US banking giant JPMorgan Chase to enhance its pensions and retirement planning capabilities. Chaired by former Google executive John Herlihy, WealthOS is a wealth management software business.
- Advising on the sale of Ember Digital Limited to Starling Bank. Ember is an HMRC-recognised platform that automates bookkeeping and tax submissions for small businesses, freelancers and landlords. Its integration into Starling Bank’s SME banking suite supports hundreds of thousands of businesses in managing their finances and meeting new digital reporting requirements.
- Advising the shareholders of global purpose strategy specialists Revolt Communications on the sale of the company to Anthesis. Revolt is a global creative consultancy that helps businesses and brands use purpose effectively. The B Corp companies joined forces to support clients with the technical expertise, sustainability capability and strategic ambition needed to drive sustainable performance at scale.
- Advising on the sale of Bluewater Bio, an award-winning UK specialist in next-generation water and wastewater treatment technology, to Aquavest Technologies, backed by growth equity firm Verdane.
